What to sell?

As an Affiliate Marketer, your business is to promote other peoples product. How much money you can make from it will depends on how well you promote the product. Sounds fair enought? However, in todays highly competitive market,One has be very selective of what he promotes. You wouldn't want to spend all your time and money advertisng a product just to find out later that there is no demand or too many supply out there.

As mentioned in my early writings. Selling affiliate program is not simply putting an affiliate link on the advertiement and hope that people will come and buy your product. It takes more effort than that, if you want to be a successful affiliate marketer.

You need to add value to your customer to entice them to even take a look at your advertisement. This takes time and money. Alot of planning is involve in selecting the right product to promote ( content quality,product pricing ) , strategising your marketing plan, and a good follow-up system to keep your customer informed and updated.

Niche Market. One simple rule on selecting a good product ( beside quality ) is high demand and low supply. Choose something you have passion about and worked on it. Once you have decided on a topic to embark on. Do a keyword search on this particular topic. A good keyword search software to use is WordTracker.( trial version available ) This software not only helps you generate many related keywords to your topic. It also gives you a report on the number of searches versus the number of competitors, thus telling you if the topic you've chosen is profitable or not ( remember high demand and low supply )

Once you've found a "profitable" topic to work, you know your time and effort for the rest of the process will not go to waste. Well....so much for now. Do come back soon , as i will be discussing more on this topic.
